The ad wars continue to swirl around Rep. Brian Baird. D-Wash. and his decision to support the Bush Administration's policy in Iraq. First the liberal anti-war group ran a cable TV ad in the Vancouver congressman's district telling voters to call Baird's office to urge him to support bringing the troops home. Now a group financed by Republican supporters of the president is running an ad that attacks MoveOn org for taking on Baird. "Shamefully they are now attacking a Democratic congressman for honestly stating the progress he sees," says an announcer as images of Baird are shown in the background.
